Thai Style Fragrant Rice is the simplest rice dish ever! It is so flavor full that the aroma released while being cooked makes you hungry. This is low on calorie as no coconut milk has been used. Not creamy yet so very tasty. This fragrant rice is best eaten with Thai green curry and Thai red curry.
If you have lemon grass growing in your kitchen garden or balcony garden then you can make it whenever you want with the most fresh aromatic leaves like I do all the time.
Yield: 2 to 3 servings

Ingredients
1 cup rice washed
2” piece of tender ginger, Julienned
6 fresh lemon grass leaves or 1 stick lemon grass
1 tsp oil
2 cups water
Salt and pepper
How to Cook
- Wash the lemon grass leaves and tie them together in a 3” long log, or slit the lemon grass stick.
- Now put all the ingredients in a rice cooker pot along with 2 cups of water and cook.
- Discard the lemon grass leaves and fluff up the rice.
- Serve immediately.
