Cheesy Pepper Fritters are delicious appetizer to start a party. This is a perfect cocktail snack or accompaniment to a main meal. You can serve them any time as they will be relished by all. Deep-fried stuffed Jalapeño Chilli Fritters are crisp and mouth-watering.

For this recipe jalapeno peppers are stuffed with vegetable and cheese mixture and then deep-fried after dipping in a batter. For making the batter I have used soda water but you can use water. Do try this recipe and I am sure you will love it.

Ingredients For Cheesy Pepper Fritters

Cheesy Pepper Fritters, Deep-fried stuffed Jalapeño Chilli Fritters
6 to 8 peppers
½ cup paneer (cottage chesse) grated
½ cup potatoes boiled and mashed
1 onion chopped fine
1 carrot chopped fine
3 tablespoon beans chopped fine
1 tablespoon coriander chopped fine
1 tablespoon garlic chopped fine
1 teaspoon lemon juice
½ cup cheese grated
1 teaspoon dry mix herbs
½ teaspoon chilli flakes
1 tablespoon oil
Salt to taste
Oil for frying

For the Batter
4 tablespoon corn flour
4 tablespoon plain flour
1 teaspoon mix herbs
¼ teaspoon chilli flakes
¼ teaspoon baking powder
Soda water / water
Salt

Directions For Cheesy Pepper Fritters

  • Wash and pat dry the peppers. Make a slit and remove the seeds as much as possible. Set aside.
  • Heat a pan; add 1 tablespoon oil, garlic, onion and saute for 1 minute.
  • Add carrot, beans and saute. Cook covered until half-cooked.
  • Now add potatoes and saute for 2 minutes.
  • Add paneer, lemon juice, herbs, salt, chilli flakes and saute for 1 minute.
  • Switch off the heat; add coriander, grated cheese and mix.
  • Stuff the peppers with this mix.
  • Mix all the ingredients for the batter.
  • Now by adding soda water make a medium thick batter.
  • Heat oil for frying on medium heat.
  • Dip the peppers in the batter and coat well and fry in oil till golden.
  • Drain on a kitchen towel and serve with sour cream or ketchup.
