Bechamel Sauce (White Sauce) made with butter and plain flour. This classic sauce is also known as white sauce. You can flavor this sauce as per your taste. This versatile sauce can be used for making vegetable au gratin, pasta, cheese sauce etc.

INGREDIENTS FOR BECHAMEL SAUCE (WHITE SAUCE)
2 tablespoon butter
2 tablespoon flour
1½ cup milk
Salt and pepper
DIRECTIONS FOR BECHAMEL SAUCE (WHITE SAUCE)
- Heat butter in a pan; add flour and saute on low heat till it turns light pink.
- Switch off the heat and let it come to room temperature.
- Now stir in warm milk and mix well.
- Switch on the heat and stir continuously till the sauce thickens and bubbles.
- Add salt and pepper.
- Use as desired.
